Pigeons are seen flying in flocks in the area of ​​Shahjalal’s shrine every day. There are many rumors about this pigeon in the minds of the people of Sylhet.

Inside the one-storey house on the east side of the shrine, there are three large stoves. The dishes are not cooked. Every day visitors donate a lot of money for foods for the purpose of charity. The place is only two feet wide. It is said that Hazrat Shahjalal spent 23 years of his life in worship in this place.
Hazrat Shahjalal’s sword and clog are preserved in the house of Mufti Nazimuddin Ahmed next to the Dargah. Plates and bowls are preserved in the Dargah’s Motwali house.

AC buses of Green Line Paribahan, Saudia, S. Alam Paribahan, Shyamli Paribahan and ENA Paribahan run on this route. The rent is 600 to 1,100 Taka. Besides, non-AC buses of Shyamoli Paribahan, Hanif Enterprise, Unique Service, ENA Paribahan go to Sylhet. Rent from Tk. 400 to Tk 500. The buses of ENA Paribahan leave Mohakhali and go to Sylhet via Tongi Ghorashal.

Train from Dhaka to Sylhet

The intercity train Parabat Express leaves Dhaka Kamalapur railway station at 7.40 am every day of the week except Tuesdays. The Jayantika Express leaves at 2 pm every day of the week and the Upban Express leaves at 9.50 pm every day of the week except Wednesdays. The Kalni Express leaves at 4 pm every day except Friday.
