The ship authorities said that an initiative has been taken to go directly to St. Martin from Cox’s Bazar thinking of the tourists.
Fazle Ali Mohammad Khurshid, in-charge of the Karnafuli Express, said they had procured another ship. He hopes that it will be launched soon.
Cox’s Bazar Deputy Commissioner. Kamal Hossain said only one tourist ship was plying on the Cox’s Bazar-Saint Martin route subject to permission. However, with the approval of other shipping agencies including BIWTA and if the weather is favorable, small ships will also be allowed to operate.
At present, tourists have to pay a minimum of Tk 2,000 and a maximum of Tk 15,000 to board the ship from Cox’s Bazar to St. Martin. The ship leaves BIWTA wharf at Cox’s Bazar for St. Martin’s every morning at 8 am.

Cox’s Bazar To Saint Martin Island — Ticket Price
MV Karnafuli Express ship’s economy seat (second class chair) fare is 2000 Taka per person. Apart from this, the rent of business class seat (first-class chair) has been fixed at 2500 BDT. There are a total of 18 luxury class cabins on the MV Karnafuli Express. Among them, the rent of economy class cabin (second class) is Tk 12,000 and the rent of luxury class (VIP) cabin is Tk 15,000. Each cabin applies to two. Separate general tickets will be deducted for each additional person. A courtesy breakfast is included with each ticket. And the rent is up-down or come-and-go. If a passenger wants to return on a different date, it should be mentioned while collecting the ticket.
