15. Panthumai Waterfall

On the border of Bangladesh and India, at the very side of Meghalaya has an incredibly beautiful village – Panthumai. It is a village of West Jaflong Union of Gowainghat Upazila of Sylhet district. The village, on the banks of the Meghalaya hill and Piyain River, is probably one of the most beautiful villages in Bangladesh. A huge waterfall near this village whose local name is Jharkhand of Fatachari which is known to us as Panthumai Waterfall. Although the fountain falls at the border of India, it is very close to the Pian river bank, Bangladesh. At the side of the Pantumai Waterfall, the BSF camp exits. 14. Shuvolong Waterfalls

Shuvolong Jhorna/Waterfalls is located in Barkal Upazila of Rangamati district. The clear water stream of this spring makes tremendous feel in the heart of tourists. The Shuvolong Waterfall falls from 300 feet high in the wet monsoon season and is fascinated by tourists in the festive mode. There are a lot of bus services from Dhaka to Rangamati. If you want to go to Shuvolong Jhorna from Rangamati town, you have to travel by waterway. It takes one and half hours to go to Shuvolong Waterfalls. You have to use Kaptai Lake for visiting the Shuvolong Waterfalls. Important to realize, Kaptai Lake is the largest artificial lake in South Asia. Looking from the top of the hill, it seems that all the Rangamati districts are floating on the Kaptai lake.

13. Muppochora Waterfall, Kaptai, Rangamati

Muppochora Waterfall is situated at the place named ‘Bangalakata’ in the Bailichari of Rangamati district. It is an uncomparable beautiful place in Bangladesh. Muppochora Waterfall

After going to Kaptai from Dhaka, at the same time, renting a trawler from Launch Ghat, it takes 2 hours and 30 minutes for going Bilaichari. From the Bihaichari’s Hospital Ghat you need to reserve Trawler for Bangalakata. It takes 30/40 minutes. Then after about two and a half hours of trekking, it is Moppachara Waterfall. It is not an easy process to go Muppochora, but when you will reach here, it will wash away all the tiredness.

12. Songrampunji Waterfall

Sangamangini Waterfall or Sengampunji Jharna or Mayavi Jhorna is a new attractive point in Sylhet. It is 15-20 minutes walking distance from Jaflong Zero Point, is located on the Bangladesh-Indian border. However, with the guard of BSF, anyone can go up to the waterfall now. With several amazing steps, it is very rare types of waterfall. From little distance of the waterfall, you will get the roar of the water of Meghalaya Hills. When you go ahead, you will see the wonderful combination of trees, stones, and water. There are several streams of milky white water currents that are coming down. Sometimes through the green bush, sometimes through the rocks, the water falls down. Sometimes through the green bush and the rocks of the nude rocks fall down. If you want you can bath in that cool water or you can ride the adventurous step going to the top of the hill. Sometimes water falls down from the third step of the fountain, and some go on the left tunnel. You can see the starting part of the tunnel, the rest is dark. Nobody knows any traces of tunnel paths. If you want to lift up this slippery stone and waterway, you should be braver, alert and of course, you have to keep good grip shoes. 11. Sitakund waterfall

Sitakunda is a place of beautiful natural beauty. This place is not only a place of great pilgrimage to Hindus but also a very good place to visit. Chandranath hill is located on the east side of Sitakund and the vast ocean in the west. Those who love nature, want to enjoy nature very closely, they can go back to Sitakunda. Sitakunda Hill is the eastern part of the Himalayas, especially separated from the Himalayas. This hill goes south and south-east of the Himalayas and crosses the Feni River through Assam and Tripura states of India and joins Chittagong. From the Feni river to Chittagong city, its length is about 70 kilometers. Sitakunda Eco Park is built on the foothills of this hill.

Sitakund waterfall

There are two waterfalls named Sahasradhara and Suptodhara in Sitakund. In Mirsarai part, there are many more fountains and waterfalls, including Kaiyachara, Harinmara, Hattavanga, Naptittara, Tigbari, Boalia, Amrankanya and many more. From this hill on the east, some of the fountains and canals have been gathered in the river Halda. Among them, Ghazaria, Bermasia, Fatikchari, Harulalchari, and Boalia were one of the main. On the west, Mahamaya, Mitha Chhara, and many other rhymes and waterfalls have fallen into the Bay of Bengal. Now a rubber dam is built on Mahamaya Chhara. This lake is the second largest artificial lake in the country, as well as a beautiful lake called Nilmabar lake situated on the foothills of this hill.

10. Richang waterfall

Richang Fountain/Waterfall is a mountainous waterfall located in the village of Shapmara of Matiranga Upazila in Khagrachari district. The distance from Khagrachari city to Richang Waterfall is about 10 km. The word Richang comes from the language of the Marma community of Khagrachari. The meaning of Ring in Marma language is water and Chang means something is moving from a high place. That means, Richang means, water is flowing from a high place. Another name of Richang is Tarang Telekali.

Richang Waterfall is located 11 km away from Khagrachari district headquarters and about 10km away from Matiranga Upazila Sadar (1 km South) Khagrachhari-Dhaka main road. From the main road, going through the hilly path, it needs to go down by 235 steps. During the rainy season, the sound of the waterfall is heard when you are in the stairs. The green hilly areas and the amazing environment will surely amaze you. This natural fountain/waterfall was discovered on 1993-94. Through the Jhom cultivation, the fountain comes to the attention of everyone. Fountain water falls below from 100 feet high, which has made the place more attractive.

9. Napittachora Waterfalls Mirsharai

Everyone has already heard about the Napittachora Waterfalls of Mirsharai in Chittagong. If you want to go Napittachora, you have to go Noiduari Bazar first. Mainly, there are three waterfalls/streams here including Kupyakatakum, Mithachari, and Bandarakum or Bandrichara. The road (Jhiri Path) of going there three waterfalls is mentioned as Napittachora Trail.

While traveling from Dhaka to Chittagong by bus, you can easily get down in Noiduari Bazar, Mirsharai. If the driver does not know the Noiduari Bazar, you can get down to Mirsharai Bazar and then take a CNG for Noiduari Bazar. The local CNG will take only BDT 10 from Mirsharai to Noiduari. But if you come to the city of Chittagong by train, you will have to come to Mirsharai by bus which will take almost an hour and a half. You will get the bus from the Alongkar Mor of Chittagong for Mirsharai.

Napittachora Waterfalls

You can take a guide within 400 to 500 for 4 to 5 hours to visit all the three waterfalls in Mirsharai. Now start your journey from Noiduari Bazar. After walking 30 to 40 minutes, the first waterfalls Kupyakatakum will come. It is a very beautiful waterfall. After passing half an hour, start the journey for 2nd waterfalls, it will take 20 minutes only through a hill. Then again, go to the 3rd waterfalls named Bandarakum or Bandrichara and it will take 30 to 40 minutes. If you go to the rainy season, surely you will enjoy the waterfalls of Napittachora.

8. Khoiyachora Waterfall, Mirsarai

Khoiyachora Waterfalls is a waterfall located on the hills of Mirsarai of Chittagong. This nine-step waterfall is so attractive. Khaiyachara – in terms of size and structure, it is undoubtedly one of the biggest waterfalls in Bangladesh. It’s a total of nine steps and many isolated steps prove that there are no such waterfalls in Bangladesh that is yet to be seen. There is a burning mountain in Khaiyachara (even in the rain), where the fire never ceases. The beauty of this waterfall is fascinated by the country’s tourism loving people. Many people are staying at the foot of the mountain to enjoy the beauty of the fountain on the moon at night.

Khoiyachora Waterfall

The place is before the Mirsarai Thakurda Dighi. Thousands of local and foreign tourists are visiting daily to see one of the biggest natural waterfalls/fountains in the country. Khoiyachora Jhorna has been named after its position on the hills of Khaiyachara area. It is 4.2 km east of Dhaka-Chittagong highway on the north side of Borotakia Bazar of Khaiyachara union of Mirsharai Upazila. After going one-kilometer using vehicles, you have to walk the rest of the road. After passing the bamboo Sako, the islands of the field, the mountainous hill trails, canals, at least 4 hills, when you see and go under the transparent water, it seems that the distance of the path is very little.

7. Hum Hum Waterfall, MoulviBazar

Hum Hum Waterfall or Chita Jhorna, a natural waterfall located in Kurma forest bit area under the Rajkandi reserve forest of Kamalganj Upazila of Moulvibazar district of Bangladesh. Local people also call it Hammam Jhorna. This waterfall was hidden/undiscovered for a long time. This waterfall has not been seen by anyone due to the dormant way and the outside of the locality. The clear water stream is rolling around the hard rock. From the lonely, calm mountains, the sounds of flowing streams from a height of about one and a half feet above are passing on the ground. Many known trees, shrubs, bamboo, wildfires, and fruit trees have made this wondering waterfall. It is tough to turn back the eyes from this wild waterfall. Of course, you will visit on the rainy season to take the full taste of Hum Hum Waterfall.

Hum Hum Waterfall

If you want to visit Hum Hum Waterfall, you have to go Sreemangal first. It is possible to go to Sreemangal from Dhaka via rail or road. It is good to take a hotel after reaching Sreemangal at night. If you reach early in the morning, then you can start for Hum Hum before 9 AM. You will get the CNG from Sreemangal and it will take you at the right time. After reaching Kalabon Para, take a guide and it is cost and time savvy. It is 7Km away from Kalabon Para and it will need to walk nearly 2.5 hours from here.

6. Dhuppani Waterfall, Kaptai, Rangamati

Dhuppani Waterfall is located in Farua union of Bailichari Upazila of Rangamati district. A Buddhist meditator monk started meditation here in 2000, later this locality was known to all by the local people. In Tanchanga, Dhuppani Waterfalls means white water Waterfalls. The height of Dhuppani water from the ground is about 150 meters. There are several wild animals including deer, wild pigs, cougar, and bear, near this fountain. Around 2 kilometers away, the sounds of Dhuppani water flowing down are heard.

Dhuppani Waterfall

There are many bus services from Dhaka to Kaptai, Rangamati. Choose the preferred one for you. At a convenient time, it takes two hours and 30 minutes to go to Bailichari with the Trawler from the Launchghat, Kaptai. You will get the local Trawler as well. You can eat food from the Bilaichari market. From Bilaiichhari, there will be a two-hour distance to Uluchchari. To reach Dhuppani Para on the boat, you will have to trek for about 2 hours and 30 minutes. It takes 30 minutes to reach Dhuppani Waterfall from Dhuppani Para. The Dhuppani Waterfall is located 200 meters below the hill slope from Dhuppani Para.

5. Madhab Kunda

Madhabkunda Waterfall is located in Barlekha Upazila of Moulvibazar district. Some years ago, Madhavkunda was the only attraction for the waterfall lovers in Bangladesh. There are several other waterfalls and fountains discovered in Bangladesh. Yet the desire for traveling Madhabkunda waterfall to the tourists was not reduced. So the government has been developed here the resthouse and restaurants with the cooperation of Bangladesh Tourism Corporation. The whole area has been developed as Madhabkunda Echopark. This beautiful waterfall is about 162 feet high. Another waterfall, called Parikunda Jharna, appears in the 15-minute minute walk from Madhabkunda Waterfall. There is also a horizontal tea garden, Khasia Palli, orange, lemon, betel nut, and betel leaf garden and in some places, you will see the Jhum cultivation.

Although winter is suitable for travel, there is little water in the winter. So, if you enjoy the full beauty of Madhab Kunda, you should visit in the rainy season. If you want to come to Madhab Kunda, you have to come Moulvibazar Or Sylhet district. It takes 4 to 5 hours to reach Madhab Kunda. There are some other attractive places near Madha Kunda you can see including Lauyachra Udyan, Tea Gardens, Hamham Waterfall, Baikka Beel, Madhobpur Tea Garden, and Lake, Nawab Bhawan, Hakaluki Haor, and Manipuri Palli.

4. Amiakhum Waterfalls

Amiakhum is a tremendous waterfall in Bandarban. The waterfall is coming down strongly through the rock and green hills. Milk-colored foam spreads cand come down through the stone. It soaks the side of the rocky stalk. The waterfall and flow stream is continuous. If you see the scenes in the profound mountains and leave the locality, it will be deeply engrossed in your heart. Nature has decorated this beautiful place, Amiakhum, Bandarban. Amakkhum Falls near Bangladesh-Myanmar border is seen as the heaven of Bengal. According to travelers, it is the most beautiful waterfall in Bangladesh.

Amiakhum Water Fall

After landing Bandarban, you have to go to Thanchi. Then take a boat for Remokrri. There is no transport here for Amiakhum. That means you have to walk to watch this beautiful waterfall. In this route, you will see the Nafakhum Waterfall, then you have to go Jinapara from here. You will need to stay the night here. In the next day, you have to start your journey early in the morning for Amiakhum and Satvaikhum. It will take 6 to 7 hours of walking. When you are returning, you should be back via Padmukh, it will reduce the distance and will take 4 to 5 hours to return. It will take 4 to 5 days to return back from Amiakhum. So, be careful about the time and keep lightweight things with you.

3. Jadipai waterfall

Jadipai Waterfall is located in Bandarban District of Bangladesh. PasingPara is the highest level of the village in Bangladesh, after coming down of this village started another village named Jadipai Para. If you look Jadipai Para from the PasingPara, it seems like a small village in a green area. The path is so steep (vertical) that it is really difficult to walk in some areas. If you walk 30 to 40 minutes through this road, it starts the Jadipai Para. At the entry point of the village, you will find a big bamboo gate. It is not so easy to come down by this road. In some places, it is so risky. For this reason, it is good to keep 1/2 bamboo sticks which will help you to walk spontaneously. It takes 30 minutes from Jadipai Para to Jadipai Waterfall. The road is comparatively plain and not so dangerous. But at the very close of the waterfall, the road is risky again. It is steep and hazardous with hilly stone.

Actually, you will forget the hardest part of your journey when you will reach to the Jadipai waterfall. It is such a beautiful waterfall in Bangladesh. The waterfall is in the center of the green skyline and high hills. It is the symbol of clean and quietness. In the middle of the mountains, the stream of clear water is coming down through the stone.

The distance from Kekrudong hill of Bandarban to Jadipai Waterfalls is approximately one and a half kilometers. Local people said that the combination of three hills including Kekrudong, Joncia Hills, and Jadipai creates this extremely beautiful waterfall, Jadipai. The clear water has come down through the black stone about 200 feet above. The waterfall was later combined with the Sangu River. The rainy season is the ideal time to watch the real beauty of Jadipai waterfall.

2.  Nafakhum Falls

Naphakhum Falls is a natural waterfall located in Bandarban district. In the Marma language, Khum means waterfall. This is the largest waterfall in Bangladesh. In terms of the amount of water flow, it is termed as one of the largest waterfalls in Bangladesh. Some peoples called it the Niagara Falls of Bengal. To see Nafakhum, you have to go to Remokrri by boat on the Sangu river from Thanchi Bazar.

In Remokrri, the Marma people live here. In marma language, Khum refers to waterfalls. If you want to see this unbreakable mystery of nature, you have to walk three hours from Remokrri Bazar. The water of the Remokrri Canal has come to Nafakhum with angles and came down 25 to 30 feet and naturally it has made the falls. The rainbow from the fast-moving water and sun’s light create the surroundings more amazing.

1. Tinap Saitar, Bandarban

Tinap Saitar is located in Rowangchari, Bandarban, which is now the largest waterfall in Bangladesh. Unfortunately, If you want to go to Tinap Saitar, then you have to walk up to 40 kilometers. Again, you have to return in the same way. In the Bam language, The meaning of Saitar is Fountain. It is located in Pindu Canal.

Considering the flowing of water, Tinap Saitar is the biggest waterfall in Bangladesh. The route of Tinap Saitar is very interesting. During the rainy season, the flowing of water increased a lot. Tinap Saitar is one of the tourist attractions in Bangladesh.

Tourists can go to Tinap Saitar along two paths. From Roingchari and Ruma. From Bandarban Bus Stand you can go to Roingchari. It takes only 1 hour on the bus. After landing on Roingchari, you need to register the name in the police station, then you have to hire the guide. You can reach Tinap Saitar via Keplong Para, Paikhong Para, Ranin Para, Dabachora Para.

If you want to go using the 2nd route, you have to go to Ruma first. It will take 3 hours to reach Ruma. After reaching on Ruma, you have to register on the Army Station for getting permission, then take a guide and riding on a Jeep or Chander Gari, you can easily reach on Atah Para. Then you have to go Tinap Saitar. In the dry season, this route is easier and takes less time to reach.
