The then city named ‘Khalifatabad’ is one of the 15 lost historical cities of the world published by the world-famous Forbes magazine, in the evolution of time, which is now Bagerhat. In 1985, this ancient city was recognized as the city of historic mosques and listed as a ‘World Cultural Heritage’ number 321 by UNESCO. The six-domed mosque, Singair mosque, Mausoleum of Ulugh Khanjahan, and nine-domed mosque are among the city’s traditional and archaeological monuments.\nTomb of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheikh_Mujibur_Rahman ):\nThe tomb of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali of a thousand years, is located at Tungipara, 19 km from the district headquarters of Gopalganj. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali of all time and the architect of independent Bangladesh, was born in Tungipara on March 17, 1920. On August 15, 1975, he returned to his native Tungipara with an assassin’s bullet. The next day, he was buried next to his parents in the family cemetery.\nBangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s mausoleum complex has changed Tungipara. The tomb complex was built on 38.30 acres of land under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture. Every day, thousands of people come to this tomb to pay their respects to the father of the nation. They were happy to know about Bangabandhu’s memory, movement-struggle, colorful life and sacrifice.\nPadma Bridge:\nPadma Setu is a multipurpose road and rail bridge built over the Padma River in Bangladesh. The two-story steel and concrete bridge will have a four-lane roadway on the upper level and a single rail track on the lower level. This 6.15 km long Padma Bridge is the largest in the country. This bridge connects the northeastern part with the southwestern part of the country.\nA possible description of the trip:\nAs soon as Jatrabari is reached, our coaster will start on the only expressway in the country, “Dhaka Bhanga Expressway.”\nMorning breakfast (packet) will be provided on the way\nIn approximately 1 hour of the journey, we will cross the longest bridge in the country, “Padma Setu.”\nWe will reach Bagerhat at around 11 am. On reaching Bagerhat, we will see Sixty Dome Mosque and Khan Jahan Ali Shrine. I will see Nine Dome Mosque and Singair Mosque if I have time.\nAfter seeing the historical places of Bagerhat, have lunch at the hotel.\nThen, we will travel to Bangabandhu Samadhi.
